Storyboard Text

  • Theodore Roosevelt worked hard to revise civil service examinations and search out corporate corruption. He appealed to both Democrats and Republicans, going down in history as being one of the most vigorous and well-liked presidents.
  • To combat certain fraudulent practices such as the spoils system, he created the Bureau of Corporations to investigate the practices of interstate corporations, and he supported the conservation of American lakes, forests, coal reserves, and rivers.
  • By inputting acts and laws such as the Pure Food and Drug Act, Roosevelt raised the American standard, by which we still follow to this day, adding on as time goes on.
