In the novel "to kill a mockingbird", by Harper Lee, tells about a little girl named scout and a boy named Jem growing up. Over the years the meet new people such as Dill, who they became friends with and played with and have many adventures with. Another person is boo Radley who they both want to meet him so badly, Jem never meets him, but Boo leaves them litte things such as two dolls carved to look just like Jem and Scout others such as Mrs. Dubose weren't as friendly but Jem and Scout learn to tolerate her and be nice to her. They later found out that their dad, who's a lawyer, accepted a case to defend a black man. This out raged folks of Macomb and even one man, by the name of Bob Ewell, tried to kill Jem and Scout but luckily failed.

Jem and Scout realize they're being followed on the their way back home
