Bob is the boss of all the others in the office and recently has decided to hire Frank as a new worker. Frank hears the others at the office talking about how much money they make working there. He realizes that Bob may have short him when he hired him, and he thinks he should get paid more. Frank tries to find Bob at a good time.
Frank tried to explain that he has heard some others in he office say they're making $26 an hour and he agreed to pay Frank only $19. Frank thought this to be unreasonable because he is dong just as much work as everyone else .
Because Frank is the only one in his department, he tells Bob that he should be making $30 an hour. Bob disagrees and finds this completely irrational of of Frank.
Unfortunately they weren't able to come to an agreement on their own so they asked bystanders from the other floor of the building to help them compromise the problem. After each giving their opinion and stating what they believed was right, they decided to agree on $27 an hour which was between what the two of them wanted.
After compromising with the situation, Bob and Frank were happy to be able to go back to work and continue about their day, both being happy.
When frank returned to his desk he was happy to have made a difference. Although he didn't get the amount he originally wanted, he was willing to compromise and meet in the middle with Bob.
