  • Students find something in their community where they want to initiate change.  Get the community members involved.
  • Students pulled out of class on a rotating schedule.  It is not a scheduled class.  There is a framework and it will look different depending on the capstone project chosen by the child.
  • A partnership between librarian and teacher.  Could do for 5th grade at ES and 8th grade at MS.
  • Authentic research: library, out in the community, field trips etc.  Niagara University to observe capstone project for students in education department.
  • Present to an authentic audience. 
  • Celebrate success.
