The Egyptians mummified that dead because, they believed that the body would be important in the next life.
The Egyptians build pyramids for religious purposes. They would use the pyramids for worshiping the gods, they were also tombs, that the Egyptians would keep mummies in.
Egyptians built pyramids by moving massive blocks across wet sand from the desert, and then put them onto a contraption that the Egyptians would pull the blocks on, also known as a pulley.
