Storyboard Description
Joanne is a shy girl who is always getting bullied. She confides in her mother and tells her all about her crisis. Her mother decides to help her. Her mother organizes a party for Joanne's 12th birthday without her knowledge and invites all the children from her class over. Joanne was shocked at what her mother had done and was scared she'd mess everything up. She thought nobody would like her. But, all the children at the party end up being Joanne's friends and Joanne never gets picked on or bullied again as she has plenty of friends now to defend her.

- Joanne had no friends. She was always getting picked on by others because she was so small and shy. She always wished she could be like everyone else and have lots of friends.
- Everyone had friends but Joanne. She always wished she could be 'everyone else'. They never got teased or bullied or picked on. Joanne was getting bullied quite a lot these days and was always very sad.
- Joanne, dear, what's the matter? Why are you looking so sad?
- Her mother noticed this change and decided to inquire...
- It's nothing...
- Don't worry, Joanne, everything is going to be alright.
- After much persuasion, Joanne confides in her mother and tells her everything. Her mother has a plan to help Joanne and says...
- It's Joanne's birthday next week and I'll call all the children from her class over without telling her! Then she might make friends!!
- After Joanne had left the room, her mother started thinking about her plan...
- I think Joanne needs an opportunity to get friends and I have to think of a way to give her one . Hmm.... Ah! I got it!
