  • Hi, my name is Katelyn Casey, and today I will be telling the story of the English Bill of Rights.
  • It was sometime in late November and people were getting angry. The king had to many rights and the people didn't have enough!
  • I know we will find a way to give everyone rights but we need some time and they have to understand that.
  • We want our RIGHTS!
  • We have to do something sir! This is the fifth time they have threatened us!
  • I know. We will find a way to give everyone the rights they are entitled to, but we need some time and the people have to understand that.
  • The English Parliament finally decided that something needed to be done, but it needed to be written in stone.
  • We have to do something sir! This is the fifth time they have threatened us!
  • Members of the English Parliament got to work on what they would call 'The English Bill of Rights'. They thought this was a great idea. After they finished they would show the king.
  • The English Parliament showed the king the new bill and he liked it because he knew it was fair to the people. He signed the bill on December 16th, 1689.
  • After the bill of rights was made, everything was way more peaceful. Everyone was content with their lives in England. The English Parliament even started to get along with the citizens!
  • THE END!
