Hi. My name is Rudolph Valentino. I was born in Castelloneta, Italy, in 1895. I grew up as the son of an army officer and veterinarian.
Since I grew up in a military like family, I attended military school in Venice, Italy. Although I flunked out of school at the age of 13 and was rejected from the military.
After living in Italy for 17 years I went to paris to try to find work but I couldn't find any. In 1913 after my fathers death I decided to move to New York City, USA.
When I first got to New York I worked as a gardner, dishwasher, and waiter. But then I became a dancer at a night club.
In 1917, after working in New York, I decided to move to Hollywood, California. My acting career set off after being the lead in "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" in 1921. I later starred in many romantic films which is why I was admired as the "Great Lover".
Five years later (1926) at the age of 31, I had a sudden death from a ruptured ulcer back in New York City.
