Storyboard Text

  • "The kitchen was quiet. She opened them. Ah, there was the Neal she knew and loved.(Truly. On both counts.) The folded arms, narrowed eyes, the knots of muscle in both corners of his jaw" (5).
  • Georgie, we already bought the plane tickets. We are going to Omaha. It's Christmas!
  • I can't go to Ohmaha. I need to stay in LA to finish writing the script for "Passing Time". I'm sorry Neal.
  • "Neal and the girls were probably already on their second flight by now...Georgie thought about sending them a text--love you guys...But Neal never sent text messages, so he never checked them; it was like texting a void" (12).
  • Are you sure that you can focus on writing with Neal and your kids in Omaha?
  • I'll be fine, Seth. I'm a big girl who can handle being away from her husband and kids for a few days. Let's just get through writing these episodes for "Jeff'd Up"
  • I think Neal might be ignoring you if he hasn't responded to any of your calls.
  • Mom! He's not "ignoring" me... he's probably just busy with his family. Besides, he doesn't answer the phone much anyways.
  • "She opened the closet and dug through a pile of leftover junk until she found an antique, yellow rotary phone..." (25).
  • Since Neal hasn't been answering my cell phone calls, I'll try using this random old landline phone.
  • "That wasn't right. None of this was right. Neal's dad was dead. Neals always said I love you. And he knew who "the girls" were. And also...Neal's dad was dead" (61).
  • How was I just able to talk to Neal AND his Dad? His Dad died years ago!?
  • "There were moments when it started to rise up on her, what was happening. What she had access to, real or not. Neal, 1998.  The immensity of it--the improbability-- kept creeping up the back of Georgie's skull..." (96).
  • WAIT!!! This old rotary phone is allowing me to talk to Neal from 1998!
