  • Just north of the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin County, you will find one of the greatest concentrations of artists in the United States. And who can blame them when you see the scenery?

  • On August 15th, 2015, the city of Mill Valley will be hosting their annual Arts Festival. The events will be held on the banks of Old Mill River at 64 Cascade Drive. Parking will be available at the nearby Mill Valley Park for $10 per vehicle. Due to expected congestion, the City Council recommends that Festival attendees ride their bikes or walk to the event.
  • The proceeds raised from the event will go to the public library. This year the library hopes to have a mural done in the Children's Room by celebrated artist Wyland.
  • There will be many activities for families, and even local celebrity chefs will be stopping by for a few cooking demonstrations.
  • As usual though the art will the exquisite! Artists like Csaba Markus and Cindy Ayala will be exhibiting for the first time at the Festival. While there will be many returning artists like Lisa Kristine, Sam Francis, and Charlotte Bernstrom.
  • The event will end with a special performance by Yo-Yo Ma, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer and Chris Thile, playing songs from their bluegrass album "The Goat Rodeo Sessions."
