Anorexia is the fear of weight gain, a distorted view of the body, and eating very little which results in being underweight.
Bulimia is when someone binge eats then forces themselves to throw up. Also, excessive exercising. This leads to compulsive behavior.
Binge eating disorder is similar to anorexia and bulimia but it doesn't compensate by purging the food.
Positive Body Image -focusing on how strong & healthy your body is. -remind yourself that "real people aren't perfect and perfect people aren't real." -give yourself compliments.
Negative Body Image -worrying about your weight or your size. -listening to what other people's negative comments about your body. -listening to your own negative comments.
Need of professional help? -early diagnosis can make recovery easier. -making sure it doesn't go further and get more serious than it needs to.
