  • IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM: She can't go to the party because it will finish too late plus its a school night.
  • Sorry sweetie I can't let you go It's too late plus it's a school night!
  • Am I being responsible?
  • Am I making good decisions 
  • CONSIDER YOUR VALUES Your values are the things that you believe are important in the way you live and work.
  • List the Options to take your decision 
  • If I go to the party It will be fun, but I will not get an A on my test
  • If I don't go to the party It will be a missed opportunity for me to have fun, but  the good thing is I will get an A on my test
  • Weigh (consider) the Consequences  
  • I will not concentrate on my test 
  • I will be so sleepy tommorow!
  • I will fail my test!
  • I will leave this party! because of my bad choices
