  • Citizens write to their congressman about an issue they would like to be fixed and the congressman writes an informal bill.
  • Bill is introcuded to Congress
  • During this process, Congress can introduce legistature and the bill can be changed majorly.
  • Bill is refered to the appropriate comittee.
  • After the bill is introduced, they send it to a comittee that oversees that area.
  • Bill is sent to a subcommitte
  • The bill is either rejected, aproved or changed.
  • In order for the bill to move forward, the full committee approves the bill and is sent to the House and Senate.
  • Bill is sent to the full comittee.
  • Once the bill is approved by the comittee, it is sent to the House or the Senate.
  • Bill is reported the floor of the House or Senate
