Storyboard Text

  • Oh hey Tina! Where you heading?
  • Oh cool. Where do you work?
  • Oh hey Steve! I'm just heading to work.
  • I'm a child labor worker in the fields.
  • OMG! Isn't that bad? You get paid so little for so many hours!!!
  • I mean, it is bad but I get some money for it. We are so poor we need the money.
  • I don't think that is fair! They don't pay you anything and treat you so poorly!
  • I know! They will beat me if i'm late! I have to go!
  • Child Labor is the use of children in industry when illegal or inhuman. Tina works in a child labor factory and works extensive hours. Tina gets a 30 minute break for lunch and then has to get right back to work.
  • You can not go back there! I will not let you.
  • But I don't want to get in trouble!
  • Tina works for many hours and gets paid very little. Around the world, children who live in poverty will work in these harsh conditions just to get money to support there family.
  • Who cares?! You do not deserve to have to be forced into that! you are only 9 years old.
  • Will you help me get out of child labor?
  • Some of the children to get very injured at there jobs. Some of them even get beaten.
  • Of course! Let me know how i can help and I will be here.
  • Yay! Thank you so much steve!
  • Seventy-three million of the children who work in child labor are under the age of 10. Tina is just one of the 200 million children who are treated like they are nothing.
  • Many people believe to that child labor is a horrible thing to do to children. Many people have not tried to stop child labor. Steve is one example of how people should stick up against child labor.
  • Steve is a great person for Tina. Another way to help end child labor is to buy sweatshop-free products whenever you can. Also to contact manufactures and industries.
