- It's the process where a single cell divides twice to produce four cells.
- Meiosis is also what produces sex cells or gametes.
- Correct! Remember, Meiosis can be divided into nine stages.
- Everyone turn to page 253. Who can tell me what the 9 stages are?
- It starts with Interphase and Prophase 1
- Yeah, and don't forget Metaphase.
- According to the book, then there's Anaphase 1, Telophase 1
- And, at the end we have: Metaphase 2, Anaphase 2, and Telephase 2.
