Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • That's what it looked like. I didn't hear anything except a roar.
  • What was that? A meteor?
  • Rising Action
  • Maybe we'd better walk downtown.
  • Let's both go, Charlie.
  • Mr. Brand, you'd better not! They don't want you too.
  • No! I swear I only thought of this because of my comic books!
  • Conflict
  • The Exposition is when the "meteor" flew over a street. The street's name is Maple Street. Maple Street experienced this frightening moment at 6:43 pm.
  • Climax
  • The Rising Action is developed when Tommy, this boy who reads comics, states that the intruders don't want anyone to leave the street according to his comics.
  • Falling Action
  • It's the kid I tell you!
  • It isn't the kid! It's Bob's house!
  • It isn't Bob's place, it's Don's house!
  • It's Charlie! He's the one!
  • The Conflict is when Charlie assumes that Tommy is communicating with the aliens. Charlie believes this because Tommy brings up the fact that in his comic books the "meteor" are aliens.
  • Resolution
  • The climax of the story is when Charlie kills Van Horn. This is the climax because this causes what the Falling Action will be.
  • I didn't know who he was.
  • Charlie, you killed him. He's dead.
  • The Falling Action is when everyone starts blaming eachother. This starts the down fall of the neighborhood.
  • It's the Williams house!
  • The Resolution is that there might have not been any monsters or aliens on Maple Street. My understanding is that is was all in the neighbor's heads. Sometimes your mind is your worst enemy.
