  • Hi my name is Amanda. Today we are going to take a look at an animal cell, and the different parts inside of one.
  • Medium shot- 30-40s
  • An animal cell consists of about 9 different parts. The Nucleus, nucleolus, cell membrane, vacuole, Lysosome, Mitochondria, ribosomes, golgi apparatus, and cytoplasm.
  • Close up- 40-50s

  • The nucleus and nucleolus are the center of the animal cell and they control functions of the cell and contain DNA.

  • The cell membrane is the outer layer of the cell and protects everything inside. The cytoplasm is the material inside of the cell that contains all of the organelles.

  • The lysosomes digest nutrients, and the golgi body produces membranes around the lysosomes. The mitochondria converts energy into ATP for the cell.
  • ribosomes are sites of protein synthesis. And vacuoles store food to be digested, and waste to be removed from the cell.
