Today we are going on a field trip to different places so I can show you all the different materials that have nitrogen in them
There is nitrogen in the soil that makes all the grass and plants grow. Also, three quarters of the air is made up of nitrogen
Nitrogen is in something called ammonia. Your parents might use this at home to clean. Ammonia is used as a disinfectant because it kills bacteria and fungus.
Nitrogen is used as a refrigerant. When it is in a liquid form nitrogen is very cold. Scientists use that cold nitrogen to keep things frozen.
NItrogen is used in the process to make steel which is being made right now in this factory.
I know right!
This field trip was so fun! It's so cool how nitrogen is in so many materials that we use
