  • Is this the place?
  • After many seasons of searching systematiacally they skipped over a small area of land covered in ruins. Which they didn't touch due to reasons of courtesy. It sheltered the workmen of Rameses VI. This lay near the tomb of the Pharaoh. Carter was determined to find the tomb of King Tut.
  • Finding Treasures...
  • WOW!
  • On November 1st,1922 they went back to the valley. The fourth day back they noticed something. Carter could see twelve steps that led to a sealed plastered door. Then they filled the steps again because in the meantime, Carnarvon was on a trip to England and its also his accomplishment.
  • Archeologists...
  • WE are archeologists
  • In two weeks Carnarvon and his daughter arrived. So,They cleared the doorway once again. They saw that part of the door was patched up which meant robbers had already been here. They broke down the door and were met at a second door.He noticed a small hole so he looked through. He saw many treasures. They calmed down and saw another door! They soon realized that there could be either two doors left of there could be a whole series of doors.
  • The following day they tore down the door. It was full of wonderful treasures, they couldn't believe their eyes. They soon found a door that followed. It looked untouched but once they got closer they saw a tiny hole that had been resealed. They decided not to take down the door. They realized it would take months to do everything that needed to be done with the treasures they had already found.
  • With the treasures they already found it would be hard enough to ship all of the objects to a museum plus clean them. They were archaeologists not not treasure-seakers.
