Storyboard Text

  • The Epic Story of BEOWULF
  • Beowulf, help us!
  • Well, Beowulf is my name and killing monsters is my game!
  • I have killed Grendal!
  • I will take care of her too! I AM BEOWULF!
  • But what about Grendal's mother? She is sure to come now!
  • I will never be conquered!
  • Beowulf, a widely known hero of the Geats, is asked to come to the land of the Danes in order to help them save their mead hall, Herot, from Grendal, a monster who has already killed some of King Hrothgar's men, and Beowulf agrees to help.
  • Beowulf has been king for 50 years, and another challenge arises, an angry dragon!
  • Beowulf kills Grendal barehanded and brings his body back to the mead hall. King Hrothgar thinks Herot is saved, but Grendal's mother wants to avenge the death of her son.
  • Beowulf kills the dragon, but dies from the venom of the dragon's claw.
  • Beowulf fights Grendal's mother in her home under the swamp. He is only able to kill her with the use of a giant's sword that finds while he is down there. He returns back to the Geats with her head.
  • Beowulf is buried with the treasures that were guarded by the dragon. Through his story, his name lives on for eternity. THE END
  • Everything is well in the kingdom until a thief disrupts the lair of a dragon who is guarding treasure. After the dragon realizes a cup from his treasure is gone, he takes out his rage on all the nearby towns. Beowulf decides he will be the hero, even if it means his death.
  • This is his hardest battle yet, but he does end up slaying the dragon with a sword. In the process, Beowulf is scratched by the dragon, but the venom of the Dragon is fatal, and Beowulf dies.
  • Beowulf's only wish is to be buried with the treasure of the dragon and to be remembered. By students continuing to read about his legacy, he has achieved eternal life.
