  • The second step is nitrification. Nitrification is when bacteria turns ammonia into a usable form of nitrogen fro plants to absorb through their roots
  • The next step is ammonifcation. Ammonification is the process that changes nitrogen compounds found in animal waste into ammonia
  • The last step is denitrification. Denitrification is when bacteria releases atmospheric nitrogen back into the air.
