Here you go!
I bent down and picked up a nearby acorn that I thought was too close to people for the squirrel to come take.
To my surprise, the squirrel lunged forward and ripped the nut from my hand before I could even think about tossing it over!
Are you okay, honey?
The whole experience happened in a blur, leaving me only with shocked thoughts and a painful, bloody wound.
Aww, come here
After recovering from the initial shock of the whole thing, the squirrel and I both scrambled away, it clutching the nut and I wiping away my tears.
That squirrel had really gotten the best of me. Not only did it physically hurt me; it also made me sad by rejecting my help.
My parents' help was greatly appreciated (unlike mine was to Mr. Squirrel).
