The Boston Massacre was a street fight in front of the the state house, where the colonists threw snowballs, sticks, and stones at the British soldiers
Boston Massacre: March 5, 1770
A mob of 200-300 colonist formed and they started to harass the British soldier who then called for help.
Captain Preston, of the British army, brought with him 8 enlisted British soldiers to help him with the mob.
The colonists still continued to taunt the soldiers because they were mad about having to pay the many useless taxes
When the colonists began throwing snowballs at the red coats and they retaliated by firing leaving 5 colonists dead.
The British soldiers then went to trial and were found guilty for manslaughter.
