  • Brian: "Thats me. You may be wondering why I look so melancholy This week has been so rough. So much has happened. Like I failed my math test, my grades are nearly failing, and Ive been sleeping horribly because of my nightmares. I can't get my head out of this bad space."
  • Teacher: Hey Brian, are you alright? Brian: *yells* Oh, um, yes. Im fine. *wipes away sweat* Teacher: Im sorry I didn't mean to startle you. You seem tense are you sure? Brian: Its okay, I was just uh daydreaming. Im sorry.
  • PSTD is more than a military disorder. Anyone, of any age, may experience trauma that impacts their life in devastating ways. If someone you know is experiencing trouble sleeping, avoiding thoughts, avoiding places, feelings of being on edge, frightening thoughts, or anything of the sort, they may be suffering from PTSD. Encourage them to seek out professional guidance and help them understand everything is okay and they are not alone.
