Storyboard Text

  • Juliet's Mother, Lady Capulet is knocking on Juliet's door to see if she is wake so that Lady Capulet could give Juliet the good news about Paris and the wedding. Capulet and Lady Capulet hope that this news about Paris and Juliet wedding to make Juliet happy. They thought that it would make Juliet feel better about losing her cousin , Tybalt.

  • Juliet, "evermore weeping for your cousin's death?" Act lll, scene v, line 49
  • "I will not marry yet, and when I do, I swear it shall be Romeo:... whom you know I hate rather than Paris" Act 111, scene v, lines 79-81
  • Juliet's mother tells Juliet that she could send someone to Mantua to kill Romeo, so his life could pay for Tybalt's life. Juliet's mother then told her to stop crying because on Thursday, she would be getting married to County Paris, but she refused. 
  • Oh Juliet, here comes your father, you would tell him what you just told me. 
  • Lady Capulet tells Lord Capulet that Juliet doesn't want to marry Paris but gives her thanks. Lord Capulet get frustrated because he's been trying to find the right guy for her and now that he has, Juliet just refuses him. 
  • "But fettle your fine joints 'gainst Thursday next. To go with Paris to Saint Peter's church, or I will drag thee on a hurdle thither" Act lll, scene v, lines 99-101.
  • She said no to marrying Paris and thanks you for finding him.
  • Don't yell at Juliet and don't blame her for not wanting to marry Paris.
  • Lord Capulet was so angry at Juliet, he was calling her names and almost hit her. The Nurse then tried to stand up for Juliet and calm Lord Capulet down, but it didn't work out that way. Lady Capulet then tells Lord Capulet to leave the room.
  • 'And why, my Lady Wisdom? Hold your tongue, good prudence! Smatter your gossips, go" Act 111, scene v, lines 118-119.
  • Husband, you are very angry. Come with me and get some air. 
  • As Lord Capulet leaves the room to cool down, Juliet starts to beg her mom to see if she could help her not have to marry Paris on Thursday. Juliet's mother is mad at her and refuses to help her and leaves Juliet's room.
  • Mom, wait don't go yet! Please help me, and get me out of marrying Paris!
  • "Talk not to me, for I'll not speak a word. Do as thou wilt, for I have done with Thee" Act 111, scene v, lines 150-151
  • Juliet then asks her nurse for help on what she should do,  because Juliet doesn't know what to do. The Nurse then told Juliet that she should marry Paris because Romeo is banished and that she should forget him.
  • Oh Nurse, please comfort me and tell me what I should do.
  • I think it best you marry with the County. O, he's a lovely gentleman. Romeo is a dishclot to him. (III.v.160-163)
