King Laios and Queen Jocasta of Thebes learned from an oracle that their newborn son would kill his father and marry his mother. They gave the baby to a shepherd with orders to leave the baby on a moountain side to die wih his feet pinned together.
When Oedipus ran away from his home with the Corinths he came in contact with an arrogant old man who tried to run him off the road. He killed him and continued his journey until arriving to Thebes where they offered him their throne.
Conflict between Eteocles and Polyneices
Oedipus married Queen Jocasta and had 4 kids: two boys named Polyneices and Etecles and two daughters named Antigone and Ismene. Their lives were going well until a laque struck!
Conflict Beteen Creon and Antigone
During The Oracle people, crops, and animals were dying so Oedipus sent Creon to consult the great oracle at Delphi. The oracle told him to find the murderer of King Laios. While trying to fing hom Oedipus realises that the man he killed on the ide of the road was actually the king and his father. His oracle's prophesy came true.
When Eteocles turn ended at being ruler he refused to give up his throw n which angered Polyneices causing him to create an army and go to war with him . In the end they bothed died.
Creon wanted to leave Polyneices body out to rot without a proper burial and Antigone believed that the laws of god should be obeyed and not broken.
