  • The Indus valley was located along the Indus river. Living by a river was very helpful for the people who lived in the Indus valley.
  • Welcome to India
  • I will be your guide. This is the Indus river.
  • The Indus river provided an amazing source of water,it kept the people land and farms irrigated, and it kept their land green and fertile.
  • Man the Indus river sure makes my life easier.
  • They used bricks clay and mud to build their city strongly and safely. There was no evidence of an Army and very few weapons were found in the city.
  • This is where the Indus people lived their everyday lives. It is believed that they lived a very peaceful life.

  • Kids who lived in the Indus valley played with toys such as many different kinds of pull along toys, toy cows that move, and toy monkeys that slide down ropes. The types of pets children had included monkeys, lizards, snakes, and birds.

  • People prefer to trade outside of the town because it is safer for traders to not come into the city. It also rovided the people more space to trade.
  • Today we seem to have some people out here trading.
  • Here the Indus people prayed, bathed, and even caught up with friends and family. This was a public bathhouse and the entire city was welcome to use it.
