When did the Kansas-Nebraska act occur and what exactly was it?
The Kansas-Nebraska Act occurred in 1857. And it was the act that went against the Missouri Compromise. Which was the act that every state was a slave free state, except Missouri.
Almost,Kam, but the Kansas-Nebraska Act took place in 1854. Now, can anyone provide information regarding the Kansas-Nebraska act?
It gave the people the choice to vote for slavery, and if it should be outlawed.
The people who were against slavery fled to Kansas in hopes that in the election people would choose for slavery to be outlawed.
The people vacated to either Nebraska or Kansas depending on what they thought slavery should be outlawed or not.
