  • When did the Kansas-Nebraska act occur and what exactly was it? 
  • The Kansas-Nebraska Act occurred in 1857. And it was the act that went against the Missouri Compromise. Which was the act that every state was a slave free state, except Missouri. 
  • Almost,Kam, but the Kansas-Nebraska Act took place in 1854.  Now, can anyone provide information regarding the Kansas-Nebraska act?
  • It gave the people the choice to vote for slavery, and if it should be outlawed.
  • The people who were against slavery fled to Kansas in hopes that in the election people would choose for slavery to be outlawed.
  • The people vacated to either Nebraska or Kansas depending on what they thought slavery should be outlawed or not.
