Renaissance literature’s new invention was the printing press and it weakened the Catholic Church’s influence of daily lives.
The Reformation was the movement in the 16th century for the abuses in the Roman Church. The Protestant Reformation was a religion and social and political revolution that had sparked when the Catholic monk named Martin Luther nailed his 95. The enlightenment thinkers were Hobbes, Locke, Montesquieu, and Rousseau. Hobbes believed that the government should have a king was the best form. Locke favored a House of Representatives sure as the English Parliament and House of Commons. Montesquieu said that the best form of government was the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial and he wanted to keep each other to prevent the branch from becoming too powerful. Rousseau’s said anyone who disobeyed the general will of the people will be forced to be free. He believed citizens must obey the laws or be forced to do so.
