  • The most common crimes in the Middle Ages were theft and murder.
  • You First have to prove that you are either innocent or guilty.
  • PLEASE LET ME GO!
  • The middle ages was a time of severe punishment and harsh torture to whoever was involved in crimes.
  • The accused person were to hold a red hot iron bar in their hands, then walk a couple of steps.
  • Ahhh
  • One way that they proved they were innocent or guilty was an "ordeal by fire"
  • Their hands would be bandaged and left for 3 days.
  • Please Heal....
  • The bandages would then be removed and if their hands were starting to heal, they would be innocent and if their hands hadn’t begun to heal then they were guilty.
  • Well, Well, Well...
  • For whoever was guilty when partaking this trial they were soon to be killed.
  • Hold him down!
