- THE SWINEHERD

- Oh, how I do miss my master Ulysses.
- With the wave of her wand, Minerva turns Ulysses into an old crinkled man.
- THE LIE
- Ulysses finds the hut of the swineherd named Eumaes. The man graciously welcomes Ulysses into his home without knowing who he is.
- CLOAK
- While chatting, Eumaeus remarks on how much he misses his master. Ulysses predicts that he will see his master soon. The swineherd refuses to listen. To many people came about telling false news of the king.
- Eumaeus asked Ulysses about his orgins. Ulysses lied saying he was from Crete. To add to his story, he said he fought besides Ulysses in the Trojan war. During one on his travels he revived information claiming Ulysses was alive.
- Ulysses stays the night with the swineherd. The man kindly gives his guest a cloak to keep warm during the night.
