Storyboard Text

  • Sure Nicole! We can go over it while we walk to  dance practice.
  • Hey Kayla! Could you help me with some math that I didn't understand today?
  • Okay, so you're learning about square roots and cubed roots, right?
  • Yeah, and I'm confused on which one is which.
  • Let's stop right here for a second.
  • Oh, okay. Well think of it like this.
  • Okay, so a square root is a number that has been multiplied by itself.
  • I don't get it; this is kind of confusing.
  • A square root isn't very hard once you learn it. But, for now, just tell me what 2 x 2 is.
  • Well, you just found the square root of 4!
  • Oh, that's easy! It's four.
  • Okay, so you got square roots. What do you think a cubed root is?
  • Yeah! It's pretty much the exact same thing.
  • One Motion Dance Studio
  • Um, well, since a cubed number is a number that's been multiplied by itself three times, maybe a cubed root is basically the same thing ?
  • One Motion Dance Studio
  • Okay, so just to review, a square root is when a number is multiplied by itself, and a cubed root is when a number it multiplied by itself 3 times.
  • Yeah you got it! Now lets finish stretching so that we don't get in trouble by Ms. Wilson again! hehe
