Storyboard Text

  • Eugene Talmage won the governor election because he promised to keep Jim crow laws and to keep white supremacy which means that whites would be held higher than blacks.
  • Talmages political party feared his death when he got sick. Because of this they decided to make sure his son would be in place of him to keep the same values. When he died, however, there was much controversy on who would be able to take the governors office.
  • Thomson believed he should take office because he was the lutenent governor and the lutenate governor would, as said in GA"s Constitution. Take over as governor when the governor could no longer serve. Arnall believed he should continue serving as Governor, as it wasn't clear in the constitution whether or not he stops being governor. Herman Talmage, Eugene Talmages son believed he should be governor since popular vote voted him in as governor.
  • In the woods there was a box found full of ballots with very similar handwriting of all dead people voting for Herman Talmage
