  • people did not like king john because he raised taxes, raised prices, lost land to the french, quarreled with the pope.
  • Today Magna Carta has become a world-class brand, representing human rights, democracy and free speech – despite the fact that the original document makes no mention of these principles.
  • The Magna Carta was one of the most important documents of Medieval England. It was signed (by royal seal) between the feudal barons and King John at Runnymede near Windsor Castle. The people created the Magna Carta to limit king john's power. The two main ideas of Magna Carta is that no one should go to prison without trail and no raising taxes before asking the lords.
