Storyboard Text

  • Are you ready to work on the history project?
  • Yes. Our presentation is going to be the best one!
  • We need to talk about copyright and fair use before we start. I will NOT be breaking the law today.
  • What are you talking about? The law? We are just making a presentation about the civil war...
  • Don't you know!? Books, articles, pictures and other resources can be owned through copyright. This gives people the rights to their work so people can't just steal it!
  • WHAT!? No one tells me anything!!!
  • Don't worry! Fair use allows us to present information legally, as long as we follow the rules!
  • Please tell me the rules. I can't go to jail!
  • There are a lot! For example, we can use pictures in our presentation, but no more than 5 from the same artist or photographer.
  • If we want to add music, we can use 10 percent of the composition. No more than 30 seconds!
  • Wow! I just pulled up fair use regulations for teachers and students. We should refer to this while we work.
  • Great!
