  • In Paris, France in 1880. Madame Loisel wants a better life for husband and herself for they were not rich nor poor. Her husband, Monieur loisel came home one day with an invitation to a party.
  • Climax
  • When Madame Loisel saw the invitation and started to complain the she doesn't have a good enough dress for the party. The husband asked "how much francs are you needing for a perfect dress that you want."  Madame loisel bought the dress she want and thought it wasnt enough, I need jewelry. 
  • Falling action
  • She went to one of her friends, Madame Forestier, to see if she could borrow jewelry. When she got the necklace she was ready for the party.
  • Resolution
  • When she got to the party and dancing the night away, it was time to go. She started to walk out of the building and saw the other ladies walking out with fashionable coats and decided to walk off to home.
  • When she was out of sight of the building she saw stage carriages off in the distance, she started to walk towards them. When a stage carriage finally stopped for them, they got on, and went home. When they got home she noticed the neckalce was missing and started to search every jewerly store for a replacement.
  • They sold every last bit of stuff they owned,moved into an attic making them paupers. And ten years later Madame Loisel saw Madame Forestier in a park with her child. She went up to Madame Forestier and told her everything that happened to them. Madame Forestier eventually said that the necklace was paste and only costed 500 Fancs.
