Storyboard Text

  • On arrival, Pi believes that the island is a beautiful, alluring paradise. He thanks religion for guiding him to it.
  • Look Richard Parker! It appears that we've come across a paradise island. I think it's made of some type of algae. Oh thank the gods!
  • Rawr!
  • Pi and Richard Parker explore the mysterious algae island and come across hundreds of friendly meerkats.
  • These meerkats are so interesting, this island seems amazing!
  • As the sun goes down, Pi begins to question the "goodness" of the island...
  • Why are the meerkats climbing into the trees? I'm starting to get a weird feeling about this place.
  • Night falls and the ground begins to burn Pi's feet. Pi is realizing that the island holds a dark secret.
  • Rawr.
  • Richard Parker something is wrong, the ground is burning my feet! I thought this place was a paradise, but on further investigation it seems nefarious...
  • Pi's perspective of the island completely changes just as the island changes from day to night. He now sees the island for what it really is, a carnivorous beast.
  • This is an interesting fruit... wait... it can't be... it's teeth!!! The island has killed someone!
  • Pi's encounter with the island has changed him spiritually. He now seeks for his own religion instead of settling for an elusive one that is similar to the island.
  • This island is like a religion but not one I want to be part of. Come Richard P. let's leave this place and reject easy, treacherous faith. I now know that my belief is stronger and more beautiful.
