In the city called Cosmopolitan, young girls at the age 16 must undergo surgery that will give them the perfect figure-perfect size, height, and no flaws- according to this society.
Sweet and small, Madelyn's 16th birthday is quickly approaching. Every girl dreams of the day that they have their surgery. Madelyn loves herself and doesnt want to change who she is.
Madelyn wasn't like the other girls. She didn't obsess over how she looked or how perfect she'll be after her surgery. In fact, she was quite content on how she looked, including her stature and glasses. Madelyn didn't want to have the surgery; something unheard of in Cosmopolitan.
I don't want to have this surgery. I love myself for who I am.
