Gatsby and daisy begin an affair by kissing at the diner table in chapter 7 and Gatsby dreams of her leaving Tom. This is significant because Daisy is married and could lose her husband/ family.

In chapter 6 everyone found out about Gatsby's true life and his real name. This was very significant because his reputation was pretty much ruined and tarnished.
Ths scene is important because this was the begining of when characters started dying. Also significant because Wilsonm went crazy.
The Lonely Death Of Gatsby
When Daisy and Gatsby had tea it made them reminisce on their old times. This led to anger between Tom and Daisy which later led to the death of Myrtle.
The only reason Gatsby threw parties is to get Daisy's attention. When Daisy finally attended she didn't really enjoy the party at all. This led to Gatsby being disappointed. This is significant because Gatsby stopped throwing parties.
Years later Gatsby died alone and no one of significance attended his funeral.This is important because Gatsby started the book alone and ended the book alone.
