Rising Action Continued
Jenny walks downstairs to the living room and finds that the t.v. is on. She notices that her mom and dad aren't in the house either. On the t.v., a news reporter is talking about a recent outbreak of a rare foreign disease that is spreading rapidly throughout the nation. Jenny, worried, tries changing the channel multiple times. Every channel she switches to is the news reporting the same thing, showing multiple views of rabid people running and attacking other people.
Jenny's heart beats faster and she starts to have a quick shortness of breath. She starts to sweat a little. The face of panic and fright overcomes her. Then she abruptly turns her head towards the window as she hears loud screams coming from outside nearby. She quietly gasps when she turns her head.
Jenny, with a great amount of caution, slowly walks over to the window. Her body is shaking, her palms and armpits grow moist, her heart beats faster, her breath gets louder and shorter. The t.v. continues to rant in the background. The screams outside continue throughout the neighborhood.
Jenny reaches the closed window and looks around outside. It's pitch black and she can't see anything. She continues to stand there in her state of fright.
