  • In the winter, Riel authorized the execution of Thomas Scott. He is a land surveyor who attacked a group of millitants.
  • Took up arms (weapons) against the Canadian government
  • Louis was exiled from Canada, and live in Montana until 1885. When he came back to Manitoba to agree to help the Northwest Rebellion.
  • Battles led to many injuries and deaths
  • Louis Riel agreed to come back to Canada to lead the Northwest rebellion.
