A flea infected with the Yersinia Pestis bacteria ( Plague Bacteria) bit a rat.
The Rats got friendly with the humans, the rats infected the Mongols. The Mongols got grumpy at the Italian merchants so they threw infected corpses over the wall into Caffa.
Italian merchants sailed away. They had infected rats on board, but they didn't know.
They sailed back to Europe, and the rats climbed ashore. This caused the plague to break out in 1347.
People had rats already living in their houses. When the infected rats with infected fleas came into their house the fleas bit the humans and further spread the disease.
1/3 of the world's population died... The End :)
