  • Exposition
  • Conflict
  • Now Tessie it was fair.
  • That´s not fair
  • Rising Action
  • Everyone gathers in the town square to draw names. Mr. Summers is in charge of the Lottery.
  • Climax
  • Bill Hutchans drew the paper with the black dot meaning his faimly had to draw papers too. Tessie, Bill's wife, was furious.
  • Falling Action
  • The entire Hutchinson, Bill, Tessie, Bill Jr., Nancy, Little Davy. Mr. Summers put 5 slips of paper back in the box including the one Bill had in his hand.
  • Resolution
  • Everyone drew slips of paper. They were all blank except for Tessie´s drew the paper with the black dot.
  • Tessie screamed that it was not fair, it was not right as the villagers collected stones from the pile and circled around her.
  • It´s not fair, it´s not right.
  • As they circled around Tessie she continued to scream. Old man Warner kept urge on the villagers. They descend on Tessie throwing stones at her, hitting her in the side of the head.
