The spindletop supply of oil passed the national demand.Then the spindletop affected us bad, it was only producing 10,000 barrels of oil it went a lot down.The new companies that had formed went out of business then their wells dried up, of those very few companies that had survived went into major businesses.
  • Moving people and goods was time consuming and was very expensive, the Texans waited for railroads hoping they would spur economic growth.The states transportation development was slowed due to transportation problems.The rivers were to shallow to make railroads on so they had some trouble getting the railroads in, and and the dirt roads were also not a good choice because when it rained they got muddy.
