Introducing the story of two groups of children at the theme park.
This isn't fair!
The economically disadvantaged kids are being patient while waiting for their turn in the ride. They're excited to be next but exhuasted by how long they've waited.
You can't be doing that. You're banned from here for a month.
Okay that's fine we're done anyway
All of a sudden, two kids with fast passes appear in joy because they were able to skid past the regular line. However, this greatly confuses and upsets the kids with no fast passes. They had waited so long yet, they couldn't do anything about these new children skipping them.
The economically advantaged kids with fast passes continuously ride joyfully on the ride for a while. This prevents the other kids from having their turn and they can't do anything but watch.
30 minutes later...
Later that day, the kids taking advantage of their fast passes, get confronted by the manager. The manager issues a temporary ban on the kids from attending the park for a month. As time goes on, these kids and other fast passers would be taken into more caution when being admitted with fast passes so, that it's fair for everyone.
After the incident, kids in regular lines could have a fair chance at getting on a ride. Despite not being able to have fast passes, they were still rewarded with the same ride opportunities as other kids with fast passes. The kids waiting in the regular line just had to wait longer but no one was more advantaged than someone else. This is how it should always be, the same rewards, just different journeys.
