Napoleon ruled France from 1799- 1815. He came into power after King Louis XVI's fall. He was an officer before this role and was a successful one too. He established a very strong army after creating Lycées (military commander schooling)
Napoleons main reason for his now downfall was during the battle of Trafalgar. He was attempting to spread his empire across Europe. During this battle he was attempting to drive out Great Britain and he lost this major battle.
