Jefferson Davis was born on June 3, 1803 in Kentucky and passed away on December 6, 1889. Davis grew up to be an American politician he was the president of the Confederate States from 1861 to 1865. He also represented missisipi in the United States Senate.

Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809 and he was assassinated on April 14, 1865. Abraham was a Republican for the National Union Party and served as our 16th president until he got assassinated which led to the Civil War.
Robert E. Lee was born on January 19, 1807 and passed away on October 12, 1870. Robert E. Lee served as a Commander in the Confederate States Army. In his terms he commanded the army of the northern Virginia in the Civil War. He was a commander until he surrendered on 1865.
Ukysses S. Grant was born on April 27, 1822, and passed away on July 23, 1885. Grant led the Union Army as a general commander in the Civil War leading them to victory over the Confederacy. Grant also served as our 18th president of the U.S from 1 869 to 1877.
William Harvey Carney was born on February 29, 1840, and passed away on December 9, 1908. Harvey was born a slave but Harvey was an African American Soldier during the Civil War, Harvey was the later awarded a Medal of Honor in 1900 for his gallantry in saving the regimental colors during a battle.
Philip Bazaar was born in Chile and died on December 28, 1923. Bazaar was a seaman who got awarded the Medal of Honor which is the highest military decoration. He was awarded it for distinguishing citation during the battle of Fort Fisher in the Civil War.
