  • "Et tu, Brute? Then fall Caesar."
  • Where Caesar refuses the crown "Ay, marry, was't, and he put it by thrice, every time gentaler than other; and at putting by mine honest neighbors shouted" (I : ii : ln 228).
  • Act IV: Scene i
  • Brutus joins the conspiracy. "Shall no man else be touched only Caesar?" (II : i : ln 153).
  • Act V: Scene iii
  • The conspiracy kills Caesar. "Et tu, Brute? then fall Caesar" (III : i : ln 79).
  • Theme: Power
  • Antony, Octavius, and Lepidus go into war against the conspiracy. "These many then shall die; their names are pricked" (IV : i : ln 1).
