Storyboard Text

  • It was as if Death came to visit Florida that day.
  • We watched the colored map from the Doppler radar. We were right in the pink. The worst place to be.
  • Now I understand what the victims of hurricane Sandy experienced.
  • The hurricane ravaged our town. Roofs were flung off houses, while some filled with water.
  • The violent winds shook the walls of our house. I'm surprised it didn't topple over.
  • The whole state of Florida was on its knees. Everyone was hiding.
  • My heart goes out to those who lived on the coastline. Everything was destroyed.
  • We trembled as the thunder shook the ground. It was like a demon growling.
  • I'm glad we stocked up on water and food. If we hadn't, I'm afraid one of us would have died.
  • We huddled in the cellar, fear caught in our eyes. We dared not to move or breathe.
  • Luckily, we survived this nightmare. We would be dead if we weren't prepared.
  • Hurricanes aren't something to be messed with. Keep your guard up. Always.
