Storyboard Text

  •                  Photosynthesis
  • In the leaf there is a small sun absorbing organelle that makes sugars and oxygen. This organelle is called a chlorophyll.
  • Light Dependent Reaction
  • Chemical Equation: 6CO2 + 6H2O → C6H12O6 + 6O2
  • The light hits the chloroplasts and a chemical reaction hits with the chlorophyll and makes ATP, NADPH and Oxygen. Water is also absorbed through the roots for plant growth.
  • Light Independent Reaction
  • ATP
  • Oxygen
  • Carbon Dioxide
  •  When the sunlight and CO2 mix with the chloroplasts it  make glucose. The glucose stores energy for the plant.

  • Chemical Equation:   6CO2+ C6H12O6  → 6CO2 + 6H2O
  • Glucose
  • We get glucose from the food we eat and use the energy from it all throughout our body
  • Mitochondria
  • Finally, after everything is all said and done, water and CO2 exit the body and is considered waste.

  • To the right this is explain how the glucose is broken down into the mitochondria and the cells are releasing ADP to ATP.
